LFM and overmolding are key technologies for protection and strain relief.

By combining both approaches, we provide the optimal solution based on the application, operating conditions and product service life.

LFM — Low Pressure Molding

LFM is a low-pressure molding process using thermoplastic materials (hot-melt) that enable effective protection of sensitive components without mechanical stress.

Advantages of LFM technology:

  • low process temperatures and pressures
  • protection of electronics and sensitive components
  • excellent sealing (moisture, dust, chemicals)
  • fast cycles and cost-effectiveness for smaller series
  • flexibility in development and modifications

LFM is the ideal solution for applications where conventional molding is not suitable due to component sensitivity.

Overmolding — robust industrial solution

Overmolding is a process that enables exceptionally robust mechanical protection and integration of cable with connector or housing.

Advantages of overmolding:

  • high mechanical resistance and durability
  • effective cable strain relief
  • high degree of protection (IP rating)
  • repeatability in high-volume series
  • aesthetically and functionally refined product

Integration into cable solution development

LFM and overmolding are not isolated processes — we can integrate them into the entire development:

  • connection with cable assembly
  • connector integration (e.g. M5, M8, M12)
  • design optimization for series production
  • collaboration with the customer from the development phase

This technology is standard in industrial applications where mechanical and environmental influences are present.
